On April 10 I was privileged to meet with the officers of the 34th (Red Bull) Infantry Division of the Minnesota National Guard. I expressed to them our sincere thanks for the Division’s long service in Iraq. Like their families, we are all glad to have them safely home again.
The 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 34th Infantry Division (1/34th BCT) is headquartered at the Bloomington National Guard Armory on West 98th Street. This unit is capable of supporting the US Army with a trained and ready combat force. These soldiers also are prepared to support the State of Minnesota’s civil authorities in a disaster.
